What They Say About Gary When He's Not Around...
Sometimes my Clients want to tell people how happy they are with their home, and their selling or buying experience. Here are a few of those...

Thanks Mike, but no Minnesota for me...

By Mike Wodtke, Shofield Lane... Sylvan

Gary was simply unbelievable. His website professionally displayed our
home and offered so many features to help make our pricing decision easy.
All you have to do is look at the depth of his site's features to understand
the value he is providing his clients. Personally, Gary was, hands-down,
the best realtor we've ever worked with. He always kept us updated,
answered all my questions like an expert and even took out our trash when we
were gone! If he moves to Minnesota, he'll be our realtor here, too!
Thanks, Gary.

It's A Jungle...

By Victor and Gretchen Wilburn

Buying a home can be a very stressful experience, but Gary does his utmost to make it as smooth and as enjoyable as possible. He starts by putting you at ease with his personable, easy-going nature, lively sense of humor and patience. He listens to your needs and is truly dedicated to getting you the house you will be happy with. Instead of keeping you in the dark, he makes sure you understand the issues involved in each step of the process so that you can make an informed decision with a minimum of pressure. And throughout the process, he keeps track of a million details so you don't have to. It's a jungle out there, but with Gary as your guide, you won't get lost.

And the other cool thing is...

Gary is great to work with. He spent lots of time listening to and answering our questions. He got to know us very quickly and what we liked and didn't like or want. He didn't waste our time taking us to places not in our taste or price range.

He's real flexible - you can do as much of the legwork as you want, or you can let him handle all or as much of the details as you want. He's a great "shopping buddy" in the search phase, and a reliable project manager in the phase from signing of the contract to closing, making sure it all happens on time. He took the time to return our calls, go through the property inspection with us, stay out late with us writing a contract, etc., even calling us when he was out of town to keep us up to date with the status of the closing.

Gary has a lot of experience and it shows. He is good at distinguishing between the real value and the emotional value of a place. He didn't try to convince us one way or the other about buying a particular place, but gave us his straightforward, professional opinion about the current value and potential resell value of a place. He has a good intuition as to what's going on with the seller, and what the house or condo is worth on the market. He was thorough in checking the comps and knew when the seller was out of line. He made a point of not telling us what to buy or how much to offer, but gave us real valuable input that gave us the confidence that we were making an offer that was in line with market reality and that was fair to both the seller and to us.

Most of all, Gary makes the whole process fun. And it's real clear that he gets genuine satisfaction out of making a positive contribution to such an important part of your life as buying a home is.

And the other cool thing is that we're very happy with the end result - our new home, and so glad that we ended up buying what we did, as opposed to some of the other places which we had seen and considered and might have ended up with had we not had Gary as our loyal guide.

Thanks Gary!

In answer to your inquiry...

By Kiran Mahadik

Note: One of my customers asked for references. One of the people he inquried of with a long list of questions gave this response:

Hi Kuldip;

Following is our house buying saga which I hope will answer all your questions:

Basically we wanted to find a house in Fremont itself so we thought its best to go through an agent who specializes in Fremont. We signed up for one of the online services which send us a list of agents in Fremont. Gary was offering a one hour free counseling, plus he was available weekends and evenings, so we thought why not check it out?

The one hour session actually went to more than a couple of hours. At no point did he try "sell" us or check his watch. He answered each question we had in depth. We had done considerable research before (online and based on what friends had told us) about house buying, mortgages etc and all his answers checked out.

So basically after thinking about it for some time we decided to go with him. After that he pretty much did all the work and we just went and looked at the houses. Every time a listing we liked came up, we (Gary and ourselves) checked it out. He was available whenever we needed him - if not the same day we wanted to see the house, the next day. It was a great relief to us coz we can only spare late evenings and weekends.

He was patient and thorough and gave us good tips - this house faces the street, there is a railroad track very close to that house, neighborhood, schools, commute etc.

About his referrals, we found that he works with reliable and good People and since he has known them for a long time they were a lot more flexible with us than they would normally be. We decided to go through Washington Mutual initially. He gets a commission if he goes through LoanWorks.com but he never ever insisted we use them. Later when WaMu quoted a very high rate based on our down payment, we did a lot of research on the net and the best rates we were getting were from eLoans.com and LoanWorks.com. We decided to go with the latter since Gary always works with them. He persuaded them to give us a much better rate on our 2nd than they normally give.

So finally to cut a long story short, we bought a house at Fitzsimmons Common last month and we're moving this weekend. We got the house for much less than the listed price and I think we got a good deal. I noticed that Gary will give u tips and suggestions about what's a reasonable price and what is not but he will NOT make ur decisions for u. That is up to u.

Whew! well hope that answers your questions. To reiterate, we had absolutely no problems with him and found him very trustworthy and diligent.

If u need any more info from me please give me a or feel free to Send mails.

All the best buying a house.

Cheerio,
Kiran Mahadik

...Epilog...
Kuldip...
Asked me to help him find a home in the Mission San Jose area of Fremont. We purchased a beautiful home. He still lives there with his family...

Kiran... lived in their Townhouse at Liberty Commons for 2 years. When their family began to grow, they called me, I sold their home, and we purchased a terrific single family home in South San Jose Foothills.
